How do car radiators work?
The radiator helps reduce the heat of the coolant. The water pump circulates coolant throughout the engine via synthetic rubber cooling system hoses designed to withstand chemicals and heat. The thermostat regulates the coolant to the engine, it opens as your engine warms up, and is closed at start up when your engine is cold. If the thermostat fails your vehicle will overheat. The cooling fan assists the thermostat to maintain a consistent engine temperature. Maintaining your cooling system, radiator and water pump in good order is vital to ensure worry free motoring.
